My name is Julia Kite, New Yorker and ex-Londoner who can't quit writing. The more I write, the more insatiably curious I become, and the more I learn, the more I can't stop at just one more sentence. My debut novel, The Hope and Anchor, was published in February 2018. By day, I am a policy director for the New York City Department of Transportation, working on initiatives to improve urban street safety. What unites these different sides of my life is a passion for cities as the sites of constant change and renewal, where people take their best shot at living their dreams.
